Iron Nest Walkthrough: Plot, Load, Aim and Fire
Quick Answer
IRON NEST missions follow a repeatable workflow even when objectives change: read the High Command and front-line teletype intelligence, transfer the useful coordinates and landmarks to the tactical map, complete the firing solution, choose a shell for the ordered effect, set the charge and gun elevation, fire, then read the aerial image and report before making the next shot. Do not copy a firing table from another mission; procedural targets and different shell effects make the current briefing authoritative.

Guide details
Before you begin
Use the official mission loop to turn intelligence into a plotted target, firing solution, shell and reviewed impact without inventing mission coordinates.
The official heavy-turret operating loop from intelligence to outcome review. Mission coordinates, fixed firing tables and a personal playtest are not claimed.

- Steam app 2950790 confirms the teletype, tactical map, firing calculation, charge, elevation, shell-purpose and aerial-review systems.
Before you set out
Prerequisites#
- Read both teletype machines instead of acting on only the highest-priority order.
- Keep the tactical map, firing calculator, shell rack, charge and elevation controls in a consistent check order.
- Treat the current mission report as the source for coordinates and desired effect; no universal coordinate table is published here.
Route flow
The repeatable Iron Nest mission loop#
Read
Compare High Command orders with front-line reports and extract the actual target and requested effect.
Plot
Place the reported coordinates and landmarks on the interactive tactical map.
Solve
Turn the plotted range into the current firing solution instead of reusing numbers from an older mission.
Load
Choose the shell whose purpose matches the order, then prepare the required charge.
Aim
Set charge and elevation together; changing one without rechecking the other changes the trajectory.
Fire and review
Fire, then use the aerial photo and follow-up report to judge the result before the next action.
Route 02
Complete a fire mission without skipping a station#
Read both intelligence channels#
One teletype carries High Command priority orders and the other relays the front line. Note the target, requested battlefield effect and any conflict between the two reports.
Plot the target on the tactical map#
Use the current coordinates and landmarks to mark the map. The official description treats the map as both a measuring tool and a record of what your fire changes.
Calculate this mission's solution#
Turn the plotted range into a firing solution with the turret's calculation equipment. Do not import charge or elevation values from a different target.
Match the shell to the requested effect#
Armor-piercing, smoke and chemical or propaganda choices exist for different purposes. Read the shell label and mission objective before loading; consequences persist beyond accuracy alone.
Set charge and elevation#
Use more charge for a longer shot or less for a shorter arc, then set the gun elevation that matches the current solution. Recheck both values before firing.
Fire once and inspect the result#
Pull the trigger, then wait for the aerial photo and reports. Use that evidence to correct the next step rather than sending a second round before the outcome is known.
Pocket list 03
Six checks before pulling the trigger#
- Both teletype messages have been read and the requested effect is clear.
- The target is plotted from the current mission's coordinates and landmarks.
- The firing solution belongs to this target, not a previous mission.
- The loaded shell matches the intended effect and its consequences are understood.
- Charge and elevation both match the same solution.
- The turret is ready and no unresolved mechanical fault remains.
Fault ledger
If the mission result is wrong#
- The shot lands at the wrong range
- Return to the current plot and verify that charge and elevation came from the same firing solution. Do not change both blindly before reading the result.
- The target is hit but the mission effect is wrong
- Re-read the requested effect and inspect the loaded shell type. Accuracy cannot turn an armor, smoke, chemical or propaganda shell into another category.
- A later outcome differs from the tactical success
- Treat this as a decision consequence, not necessarily an aiming error. The official game description explicitly ties shell choice to consequences after the smoke clears.
Procedural objectives prevent a universal coordinate list#
The official store page lists procedurally generated mission objectives alongside handcrafted story content. This walkthrough therefore teaches the verified operating loop and excludes invented mission coordinates, universal charge tables and guaranteed one-shot solutions.
