Tire Dealer Simulator Demo: Remove Lug Nuts

Quick Answer

In Tire Dealer Simulator Demo, raise the vehicle on the lift, select the impact wrench’s Remove Mode with U, and aim the tip of the tool at each lug nut. Check the highlighted mode on the tool HUD. Once you need to pick up the wheel, drop the wrench with G or return it with R first. I switches the wrench to Install Mode for reassembly.

Before you set out

Prerequisites#

  • These controls apply to the Steam Demo and its September 6–7 hotfix guidance.
  • Have the vehicle on the lift and the impact wrench available.

Route 01

Remove the nuts, then free your hands for the wheel#

Work through the tool mode and aiming checks before treating an unresponsive nut as a broken save.

  1. Raise the vehicle and choose Remove Mode#

Use the shop lift to raise the vehicle, then hold the impact wrench and press U. The HUD highlights the active mode. If it shows Install instead, switch back to Remove before trying to take the nuts off.

  2. Aim with the wrench tip#

Line up the tip of the impact wrench with the lug nut. The Demo’s September 6 interaction update specifically adds this aiming guidance. Positioning the tool tip matters; aiming the middle of the tool at the wheel is not the same instruction.

  3. Put down the wrench before taking the wheel#

When the nuts are removed and you need to pick up the wheel, press G to drop the wrench or R to return it. The interaction rules prevent carrying a wheel or another item while you are still holding the wrench.

  4. Use Install Mode when putting the wheel back#

Press I to select Install Mode for reassembly and check the highlighted mode again. When moving on to tire work, use an available machine: the Demo warns when the tire changer or wheel balancer is already occupied.
