Exotics Deposit location · Week 250–251 current-player evidence boundary
ICARUS Exotics Deposits: Map Pins vs Radar
Quick Answer
An Exotics Deposit marker on IcarusIntel or another community map is a potential spawn location, not proof that a deposit exists at that coordinate in your current ICARUS prospect. A current player answer says a map can have only three actual deposits while showing many more possible spots. If you stand on a pin and see nothing, do not assume the website is broken or that a mission is automatically missing. Bring and use the in-game radar to search for the deposits that actually spawned, then travel to the returned location. The saved thread does not answer the follow-up question about extractors, so this page stops at finding the deposit and does not invent extractor count, recipe, yield, scan geometry, mission gates, or map-wide spawn rules.

Before you begin
Stop treating every community-map marker as an active deposit. Use the marker as a possible search area and the in-game radar to find the actual spawn.
Potential community-map locations versus radar-confirmed deposits in the current player report; no invented radar formula, mission gate, extractor setup or universal count.

Before you set out
Prerequisites#
- Treat a third-party marker as orientation only. It can identify a possible location without confirming the active spawn.
- Have access to the current in-game radar and read its live interface; exact recipe and unlock requirements are not established by the saved thread.
- Search within the same prospect and map state you intend to mine. Do not transfer a confirmed location from a different session as a guarantee.
- Keep extraction setup separate from discovery. The thread asks whether extractors are still used but does not contain an answer to that follow-up.
Why the map pin can be empty#
The player who opened the current discussion stood exactly where IcarusIntel marked an Exotics Deposit and saw nothing. The answer resolves the apparent contradiction by distinguishing possible spawn points from deposits that actually spawned in the current map state. According to that peer response, only three deposits exist on a map while the community map shows many more potential spots. That means a pin is useful for understanding the pool of possible locations, but it cannot confirm which member of the pool is active. This is the same reason walking to more pins one by one is inefficient: the map is not claiming every symbol is simultaneously present. The bounded solution is to use the in-game radar, which is designed to locate the actual deposit. The evidence is still narrow. It does not establish whether “three” applies identically to every map, mode, prospect, expansion or later patch, and it does not document the radar recipe, scan arc, number of scans, distance, signal interpretation or mission prerequisites. Use the live radar result as the authority for your current prospect.
Route 02
Find the deposit that actually spawned#
Use outside maps to orient the search, then switch to the live in-game signal. The goal is to stop walking to unconfirmed pins.
Confirm the map and prospect#
Make sure the community map layer matches the world you are playing. Even a correctly selected map still shows possible locations rather than a guarantee for the current prospect.
Read the pin as a candidate area#
Use the marker to understand where a deposit could appear, but do not mark it “found” before the game provides evidence. Standing on bare ground at the pin is consistent with that potential spot not being selected.
Prepare the in-game radar#
Bring the current radar and follow its live placement or operating prompts. This review does not verify its recipe, power source, shelter rule or exact scan controls, so use the interface in your build rather than a copied value.
Run a scan from a valid location#
Start the radar only when its current placement state is accepted. Read the result it returns for this prospect. Do not replace a weak or absent signal with an assumption based on the nearest website icon.
Move according to the live result#
Travel in the direction or toward the location indicated by the radar. If another scan is needed, repeat at a deliberate new position based on the current UI; no exact spacing or triangulation formula is claimed here.
Confirm the deposit in the world#
Treat the location as found only when the actual deposit or the game’s current confirmation is visible. That closes the discovery problem. Extraction machines, power, capacity and yield belong to a separate setup task.
Record the prospect-specific result#
If you keep personal notes, label the map and prospect rather than turning one spawn into a universal coordinate. A future prospect can select different potential points.
Pocket list 03
What the evidence supports#
- Supported — the current player found an empty location where a third-party map showed a possible Exotics Deposit.
- Supported by the peer answer — there are more potential locations than active deposits.
- Supported by the peer answer — the radar is the tool to find the actual deposit.
- Useful inference — an empty potential pin does not by itself prove the community site is broken.
- Not established — every current map and mode always uses exactly three deposits.
- Not established — radar recipe, unlock, scan radius, arc, number of scans, signal formula or ideal placement spacing.
- Not established — a missing deposit always means a mission prerequisite is incomplete.
- Out of scope — extractor type, extractor count, power, ore yield, depletion and recovery.
Fault ledger
If you still cannot find a deposit#
- You are standing exactly on a website pin
- Reclassify it as a possible spawn point. Use the in-game radar before spending more time searching that coordinate.
- The terrain does not match the marker
- Verify that the community layer matches your current world and prospect. A layer mismatch and an inactive potential location are separate explanations.
- The radar will not start
- Follow the placement and operating feedback shown by the current build. This source set does not establish recipe, power, shelter or clearance rules.
- A scan does not give an obvious destination
- Read the current radar UI and reposition based on the signal it actually provides. Do not invent a scan radius or triangulation distance from this page.
- You think a mission must be completed first
- The original player asked that question, but the saved reply answered with potential spawns and radar use. Do not convert the unanswered mission theory into a requirement.
- You are ready to mine but do not know the extractor setup
- Stop at discovery. The follow-up question about extractors received no answer in the saved thread, so use separately verified current extraction instructions.
Field questions
Exotics Deposit map and radar questions#
- Is every IcarusIntel deposit icon active?
- No. The current peer answer describes those locations as potential spots, with fewer actual deposits than displayed possibilities.
- Does an empty pin mean the site is bugged?
- Not by itself. The potential location may simply not be active in this prospect.
- How should I find the real deposit?
- Use the in-game radar and follow the live result for the current prospect.
- Are there always exactly three deposits?
- A current player reports three on a map, but this review does not generalize that number across every world, mode or future patch.
- How many extractors should I bring?
- Unknown here. The thread asks that follow-up but does not answer it, so this guide intentionally stops at locating the deposit.
Player-source and version boundary#
This guide uses a current ICARUS discussion observed September 30, 2026. The original report and reply establish the exact confusion—an empty third-party map marker—and the potential-location versus radar-confirmed answer. They are peer evidence, not a complete developer specification. Treat the reported three-deposit count as context rather than a universal constant. Current map rules, radar unlocks, scan behavior, extraction equipment, yields and later patches remain Unknown unless separately verified.
