Before you begin
Restore the clock's missing pieces, read its sequence, and place the eight time-labelled bottles in the exact observed order.
The missing clock-piece prerequisite, the eight-label sequence, left-to-right placement, and the minimum checks when the row looks correct but is not accepted.

Before you set out
Prerequisites#
- Find and return every missing clock piece so the clue can display the complete sequence.
- Gather the eight bottles labelled 3:00, 6:00, 10:00, 1:00, 7:00, 12:00, 2:00, and 9:00.
- Clear one shelf row and choose a consistent left-to-right reading direction.

The exact eight-bottle clock sequence#
Desk answer
Clock puzzle answer#
Place the eight time-labelled bottles from left to right in this exact sequence:
3:00 → 6:00 → 10:00 → 1:00 → 7:00 → 12:00 → 2:00 → 9:00Route 03
Restore the clue and build the time row#
Return the missing clock pieces#
Complete the clock before treating the bottles as a solvable set. The restored display is the source of the sequence.
Separate the eight time labels#
Pull the matching clock bottles away from unrelated number, compass, and symbol sets.
Start at 3:00 and copy the sequence#
Build the row as 3:00, 6:00, 10:00, 1:00, 7:00, 12:00, 2:00, 9:00.
Confirm the row from one direction#
Read once from left to right before stepping away. The documented solution starts at 3:00 and ends at 9:00, so keep that direction consistent.
Caution
Do not sort the times chronologically#
The clock clue is a recorded sequence, not a day schedule. Numeric or chronological sorting will not match the documented puzzle order.
Fault ledger
If the clock row looks right but fails#
- The eight times are present but nothing happens
- Verify the clock itself has all missing pieces and that the row begins at 3:00 on the left.
- Two bottles appear interchangeable
- Read their labels again; 10:00 precedes 1:00, while 12:00 appears between 7:00 and 2:00.
- The sequence was built right to left
- Rebuild it left to right using 3:00 as the first bottle and 9:00 as the last.
Field questions
Clock puzzle questions#
- What is the first clock bottle?
- 3:00 starts the documented left-to-right order.
- What is the last clock bottle?
- 9:00 is the eighth and final bottle.
- Why restore the clock first?
- The completed clock displays the sequence; the walkthrough sources list that as the solve method.
