Before you begin
The light color is an input to the table; the wire color is its answer. Count the connected wires before looking up which color to cut.

Before you set out
Prerequisites#
- Have the current Wires manual available and identify the wires connected to this module.
Route 01
Use the count and light to choose one wire#
Count the connected wires and read the light#
Count the wires actually connected to the module. Then read the active light color. Pass both clues together so the manual lookup uses this panel’s wire count and light.
Find the target color in the manual#
Open the matching wire-count row and active-light column. Their intersection gives the color of the wire to cut. Read the cell’s answer before selecting a wire; the active light color is a lookup clue, not an instruction to cut a wire of that same color.
Locate and communicate the chosen wire#
Find the wire with the target color on the actual panel. Make the selected wire clear to the player who will cut it, keeping the table’s target color separate from the light color used to find it.
Cut the selected wire#
Cut the wire identified by the matching cell. This action uses the result of the count-and-light lookup, so keep the chosen target unchanged between reading the manual and making the cut.
Caution
Read the table in your current manual#
The table in another screenshot can give a different target color. Use your current manual’s row and column rather than memorizing a fixed cut-color chart. The connected-wire count, active light and resulting wire color belong to the bomb in front of you.
